Lake George Opera runs three shows in rep each summer.   For these three operas I built and painted two blackjack tables, a craps table, and created a wheel game with a pillow block so it was quiet.  I also built two beds, one with porch posts, built a desk with legs that I found in an antique shop and built a shelf unit.  All of which I painted when I was finished.  I built these in addition to my other duties such as finding existing furniture and creating hand props.

This craps table is ten feet long.  The outside is wacky wood.  The bottom is two pieces of plywood that were scabbed together to make it ten feet.  There is a 2 x 4 structure inside that I created in order to attach the wacky wood.  The audience could not see the inside of the craps table, so I simply put green felt in it so it would be quieter when the dice were rolled.

For this desk I built, I used legs I found at an antique shop to create this desk to the dimensions that were called for on the ground plan.   As you can see from the pictures, this desk includes a drawer that I crafted.  The picture on the right is the bottom of the desk to show how it is constructed.

I built two blackjack tables from the designer's drawing using wiggle board, plywood and felt.  When it was finished I painted it with wood grai

Like the blackjack tables, the craps table was built of plywood and wiggle board with felt on the inside.

I built this console radio by looking at pictures and using measurements I found in research on the internet.

After spending time trying to find a console radio in the small town of Ft. Myers, Florida, I decided to build one because it would take less time and the cost was minimal since it was built from scraps.  I built and painted this in two long days.
