| OVERALL PATTERN OF PAINTED BRICK |
The sample for the floor on the left was in the designers
elevation and I did not get a copy. The floor was to look like vintage lineoleum blocks. I painted it with sponges
and a one foot square luaun stencil. This floor was used in the Arizona Theatre Company's production of Drawer
Boy.
The wall above and above left was part of a drop used in Pericles. It
was painted using an over all "X" pattern with three colors of thin paint. I also worked closely with untrained
students who were assigned to be a part of the paint crew. I taught them how to achieve the look we were going
for and they performed wonderfully. I have also been on crews myself and have followed the directions given by the person
in charge. I enjoy being able to copy a texture or design that someone else has demonstrated.
