I was the charge artist for Pericles and worked with a crew of eight students. The majority
of them had never painted before. They learned how to paint with sawdust in paint and how to drybrush a wood design.
In addition to that I also taught them how to work as a team to sponge paint together and create one unified design.
After the base of the shield was dry it only took two and a half hours to draw and paint the tree. There were two crew
members who helped with the painting.
